Tom has an extensive background in the real estate/property development industry. He began his career as a framing carpenter in the construction of new homes and quickly found himself working in management as a job site superintendent. He went on to work for a national company as subdivision planner, which gave him extensive experience with city zoning, ordinances and restrictions and he presented developments to local planning and zoning and city councils. Additionally, he has bought, sold and consulted on many renovation projects in the Kansas City area. Tom’s unique combined experience makes him the perfect person to assess a property's value! And we can't forget, for one whole winter Tom volunteered for AmericaCorp as a volunteer to help clear bike trails, install signs, build small bridges, etc. in Boise, Idaho.

Outside of work, Tom is very involved in family and community activities. He has a wife, Jill, and two boys – Casey; 10 and Josh; 7. Tom coaches both of the boys in their spring baseball leagues. He is also very active with Cub Scouts. He has served as a den leader for the past four years. He also serves as Assistant Cubmaster for the pack. You can find him at Home Depot or Lowe’s almost every weekend as he enjoys building and upgrading his home (as well as the neighbors) for his favorite hobby.
